This is the first phase of a concentrated program that is equivalent a conventional college course to introduce the basics of project management. The first session (BM1) is designed as a stand-alone introduction seminar to explain the nature of project management as a tool for people who are faced with a unique assignment in an otherwise routine business environment. It is also useful for people with extensive work experience in the trades or other endeavors that may consider a change in focus away from physical labour. This guidebook shows how to use a basic project management tool based on Excel™: this tool is available free with the course so you can use BPM on your projects if you have Excel™ on your PC. We also separated the course material from user documentation of the BPM software so you can refer to a handy guide when you focus on projects instead of learning project management.
